Painter, etcher and illustrator, born at Hethersett in Norfolk.
Studied at the Slade School under Tonks and Steer and at the Royal College of Art.
He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, London Group, New English Art Club etc.
His work is in many public collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Tate Gallery.
He worked extensively in East Anglia, and also in Spain and Portugal.
