A Scottish etcher from Aberdeen where he studied. During the First
World War he fought in France
and
was awarded the Military Cross. At the end of the war
he returned to Aberdeen and joined the family business.
He drew on his love of the outdoor sporting life for many of his
watercolours and etchings.
